Delete your Exam Gorilla account
You can delete your Exam Gorilla account and the data linked to it at any time. The quickest way is inside the app on your phone. If you no longer have the app, or can't open it, send us the form below and we'll do it for you.

Delete it in the app#
A grown-up check comes first, so a child can't delete the account by accident.
Android
- Open Exam Gorilla and tap Me.
- Tap Delete account.
- Pass the grown-up check and confirm.
iPhone and iPad
- Open Exam Gorilla and tap Me.
- Tap Delete account.
- Pass the grown-up check and confirm. Apple may ask you to sign in again.
Cancel your subscription first#
Deleting your account doesn't cancel Exam Gorilla Plus. Google and Apple bill you, not us, so cancel it with them first:
- Android: Google Play Store › your profile › Payments & subscriptions › Subscriptions › Exam Gorilla › Cancel.
- iPhone or iPad: Settings › your name › Subscriptions › Exam Gorilla › Cancel Subscription.
Refunds are handled by Google Play or Apple under their own rules.
Ask us to delete it#
Use this form if you can't delete your account in the app. We'll email you to confirm it's really you before we delete anything.
Check your email
We sent a confirmation link to . Open it within 7 days to confirm. Once you've confirmed, we delete your account within 30 days and email you when it's done.
No email? Check your spam folder, or write to hello@examgorilla.app.
We couldn't send your request
Something went wrong on our side or your connection dropped. Nothing was deleted. Try again, or email hello@examgorilla.app from the address you signed in with.
What gets deleted, and what we keep#
Deleted
- Your account record: your user ID, plan, this month's counts and unused quiz credits
- The email address Google or Apple shared with us
- Your sign-in with our provider, Firebase
- Your tips-email settings. The emails stop.
- If you signed in with Apple on an iPhone, we tell Apple to revoke Exam Gorilla's access
Kept, but no longer linked to you
- Google Play and App Store purchase records, with your user ID removed. We need them so a purchase can't be used twice and so refunds still work.
- Basic app analytics (Google Analytics), which never include your name, email or documents. Google deletes them on its normal retention schedule.
Google states that Firebase removes deleted sign-in data from its live and backup systems within 180 days.
Data on your phone#
Your documents, tests, answers, scores and stars are stored only on your phone. We never receive them, so we can't delete them for you. To remove them, use Me › Delete all my data in the app, or delete the app.
If you never signed in#
Without signing in, the app uses an automatic account with a random ID and no name or email, so we can't find it from this form. Delete it in the app with Me › Delete account. If you've already deleted the app, nothing on our side can be linked back to you.
How long it takes#
- In the app: straight away.
- Using the form: within 30 days after you confirm by email. We'll email you when it's done.
